From the high rise skyscrapers to the new automobiles of the 1920s and 1930s, a modern, streamlined sensibility ruled design. Today we call that style Art Deco. Purveyors of the style ranged from Frank Loyd Wright to Coco Chanel, and we can safely say that the world of design and art has never been the same since.
